Conversations with Māntrikadeva

quill

I first read Paramahansa Yogananda’s book, Autobiography of a Yogi, over thirty years ago, and a couple of months ago I decided to re-read it. As I was doing so, I was contacted by Māntrikadeva Goddijn from the Netherlands with whom I had had no contact for some years. Māntrikadeva lives within the Kriya Yoga tradition brought to the West by Yogananda at the beginning of the last century. There is something sane, practical and clean about it, and it has always interested me.

Māntrikadeva wrote to me about my article on Pluto in Aquarius, but then we moved on to other matters including his own service work.

I am making extracts of our correspondence for this month’s LOM because the ideas, which he, a young man, is preparing now to make available through his school may be of interest to younger people struggling to find a purpose at this time.

At my request, Māntrikadeva has provided the details which would enable those interested to make contact with him.

Hi Suzanne

It has been a while since we were in touch, but I am watching your work from a distance as I am pursuing my own service work.

With this email I'd like to thank you for your recent article on the significance and meaning of Pluto in Aquarius. It is one that touches upon some profound truths as I myself see them as well.

Specifically, the matter of gender-related karmic liberation that is currently going on, which causes a dilemma you are trying to explain to your student. What I see here is, that it is a matter of differences between the Shambhalic and Hierarchical energies pushing in (seemingly) opposite directions.

What we are witnessing are still the lower influences of the fourth ray, waiting — quite desperately, even — for the higher fourth ray harmonisation to become manifest. This beautiful push outward that can ever be seen when looking at the fourth ray energy clairvoyantly, that is always destined to make a u-turn back towards the midpoint at a later point in time.

Quite clearly, I seem to see the same thing as you do: 'younger brothers/sisters on the path' being confused and not knowing which point to look at; the point that is liberating itself or the point where it has already been liberated.

Hopefully, you will find reading this perspective meaningful. Although it is likely to be just another way of explaining what you yourself are already seeing, it will also be helpful to you in some way as I am quite surprised about the inner nudge I had to write this email to you.

Namaste,Māntrikadeva

Hello Māntrikadeva,

In principle, I agree with your projections but the reservations that I have, arise from circumstances which, to my mind, will not be supportive of turning these changes into a true opportunity. Timing is everything in determining what grows corn in terms of human evolution, and I predict the issue of gender change will time out within ten years.

Ouspensky famously said that when three things come together something happens, if they do not. nothing happens. In terms of human development, opportunity requires three things: i) the will to bring about change (and nothing is off-limits for the human family, but it is the up to us to make it serve the evolution of consciousness); ii) a receptive environment and iii) a context which gives the point to the change. Conditions ii & iii are assisted by the input of the Fourth Ray. But the Fourth Ray which does not work through a vacuum; it works through focused people with a clear intent, and I see little evidence that circumstance will allow this to develop around the matter of gender change because it is an expression of a larger issue which is the lack of a sense of purpose. It is a secondary, not a primary issue, and will be swept away when how we are to survive climate change and the political re-alignments arising from it become the primary issue in the 2030s, Those with Pluto in Capricorn  will be the young adults by then, and in the ensuing years they will ensure that this is the issue which restores a sense of purpose and some backbone to us Westerners. This is what they are here for.

However, this said, someone much wiser than I recently said that if those with gender issues are treated with kindness, understanding and compassion they and the world will benefit from this.

I think we should hold onto that over the course of the next ten years. Esoterically considered, the Fourth Ray rules the second decanate of Aquarius, (affecting personality consciousness). Pluto will enter the second decanate in 2029 and will remain there until 2035. This could be a significant time for healing of all kinds if those in whom Ray 4 is strong will organise themselves to use time well and seize the opportunity before it is lost.

Do your bit, Māntrikadeva!

Very best wishesSuzanne

Hi Suzanne,

Thank you very much for your elaborate response.

Generally speaking, what you are writing is no different from what I mentioned. It is more that you seem to approach it from the details towards the broad perspective, while I'm doing it the other way around. Typical for when a ray 1 and a ray 3 person discuss a topic. Seen it many times before.

You are describing the same movement as I see in the gender change topic: a swing outward that is mostly finished by now and then a movement back towards the centre. And in what I see this is largely caused by the movement towards more compassion, kindness, etc. for people with gender issues. (It is the growth in compassion they are now receiving which is the true opportunity here!)

But the energy that has been building up inside those people for ages — the energy that is their longing for said compassionate interaction with the masses — was so dammed up that its release is too explosive, now that some of that compassion is finally received. This is in itself already a process of liberation from a part of their group karma. Only due to the explosiveness they keep asking for more and more. Things will cool off, having worked out some of this group karma, but a lot of it will remain for the future.

The Shambhalic plan moves in relatively straight lines. The Hierarchical plan, the 'plan of Love' can meander a bit more, if it leads to more Loving Compassion. Typically, the meandering as is happening in this subject is the Fourth Ray playing its game. A ray is in the end simply an energy pattern... Working out in each part of creation, though not everywhere in equal measure or of equally harmonic effect...

It is beautiful how you connect the gender issue to a lack of purpose. This is a part that I didn't see yet, but it fits in well with the parts that I did see. Thank you for this especially. You are also very right that the gender change matter will not be liberated soon. But by making smaller swings like the ones of recent, this group, with its peculiar karmic burdens, can start working off bigger chunks of their group karma than is possible when they are fully oppressed.

As you will surely recognize from your own life: as long as you are repressing an emotion it is impossible to truly free yourself from it. It is only as you allow your emotion to exist that you can start making steps towards its resolution. Therefore, I do regard this as an important step in the liberation process of their group karma.

Towards the 'overshooting' that is also happening in this subject, the strengthening of the backbones — that I also see happening, even in my own life and family! — will surely bring what is needed. (Although I am afraid that thus far this strengthening process is still going too slowly and more of the threat of war will be needed in Western Europe in order to dispel the decadence...The backbone is a general matter and has to do with much more than the subject of gender.)

Also, I am happy to share with you that I see that, in spite of the troubles that are coming, the hierarchy is still preparing for the far future as if those troubles will surely be overcome. It wouldn't be doing so if the coming situation was hopeless. It is difficult to practice positive thinking in times of crisis and perhaps even to actively and strongly visualise what positive outcomes of those crises would look like. When the people suffer, they lack trust in positive outcomes.

But we can all co-create in the coming to be of those positive outcomes by consciously building the thought-forms of a happy and spiritually victorious future, as long as we keep checking that what we are visualising feels good to visualise each time we do it. Thereby we can rebuild our trust. One example of this would be to imagine a problem that is already there shattering into pieces by rays of bright sunlight breaking through it. Or to imagine the problem as muddy ground from which an immensely beautiful flower starts growing up to the point where it is fully flourishing. Frankly, just thinking happy thoughts would be helpful already. There is much that you can already do within the privacy of your own mind.

Thanks again for this mutual sharing of views. I can always appreciate such a sharpening of the swords especially on this level of abstraction.

Very best wishes, Māntrikadeva

Hello Māntrikadeva,

Interestingly I have just finished reading Yogananda’s Autobiography of a Yogi. Its wonderful book written as it was for the Western mind which needs explanations.

There is something very clean about Rāja Yoga.

I send you every good wish for your activities because we are fast approaching.  A time when the spiritual vision is all but failing, and as Yogananda himself said, when it fails ‘the people suffer’.

Very best wishesSuzanne

BTW, your observation that for as long as we are repressing an emotion it is impossible for us to be free from it could be taken as a defining quality of the generation with Pluto in Sagittarius (1995-2008) amongst whom there are so many with gender issues (which is where we began our conversation). They are not so much talking about their emotions as expressing them in their lives, putting them amongst us and making us take them into our consciousness.

Hi Suzanne,

Interesting synchronicity. Autobiography of a Yogi continues to be a beautiful source of inspiration for anyone interested in spirituality, from beginners up to advanced.

I am, for nearly two years now, in the process of building up a school for spiritual training. One that is based on the systematics of the complete Rāja Yoga system as well as on a peculiar type of deep training in the philosophy of the Seven Rays through contemplative work with Sound, Speech & Colour. It is a very long creative process. Only near the end of this summer the gates of the school are likely to open for students. I would not say I am an astrologer. Although I am very fond of it and make use of it a lot, I haven't got all the skills an astrologer would need nor am I seeking to develop those skills. The matters I wrote about I saw through meditation and contemplation mostly.

Because of the teachings I have been receiving in meditation over the past years, that are meant to be shared, I have decided to no longer keep my head down and I am thankfully fully aware of the 'fires' you are implicitly referring to in your warning.

If I may take the liberty to offer you and your readers general advice that might be a helpful instrument against such forces, I'd share with you the following aphorism by the Yogic sage Patañjali:

When one is firmly grounded in nonviolence,
there is the relinquishment of all hostility in (his/her) presence.
(Yogasūtras, ch. II, sutra 35)

Also, I am happy to share with you that I see that, in spite of the troubles that are coming, the hierarchy is still preparing for the far future as if those troubles will surely be overcome. It wouldn't be doing so if the coming situation was hopeless. It is difficult to practise positive thinking in times of crisis and perhaps even to actively and strongly visualise what positive outcomes of those crises would look like.

The school will be opened online only, for the time being, because the visions that led to its conception showed me that students will be coming from around the world. Later, if all goes well, it should materialise to a greater density. In times like the ones you are describing, the spreading of new spiritual teachings is one of the best antidotes. And I am afraid (truly, it is a nerve wrecking thing to do) that these teachings that I am sharing really are quite new.

If you like, have a look at my website: www.highermantra.cloud. Our curriculum focuses on developing the skills to understand the divine synthesis that is behind all that is and become more sensitive directly to perceiving the Seven Rays. Anyone of goodwill who is looking to learn practical spiritual methods that allow them to deepen and stabilise their own meditative perception of reality is welcome to join our upcoming programmes as well as our on-line community.

Best wishes,Māntrikadeva
