The Zodiac Dance
Fifteen
years ago I envisioned a form of synchronized dance in which energy is
purposely directed through a particular motion to create an effect in
harmony with the will of the spirit. As a group, the will of the units
formulate their unique expression and integrate it with the other parts.
Dance is the rhythm of the vortexes of energies expressed through form.
The vortexes of energies are the 7 chakras, through which we receive and
utilize stellar energy.
Although
this idea was impressed in my mind in 1992, it wasn't until I arrived in
Glastonbury in March of 2006 that I was informed by Suzanne that DK had
been working with me and would like me to create a dance of the zodiac to
awaken awareness of purpose, and that he would guide me.
Not
really knowing how this would come about, I committed myself to get up
every morning about 3 or 4 a.m.
I
began by focusing on each of the 12 signs. I thought that it should be
simple but energetically effective, and should be performed as a group
endeavour, with each sign having its individual mark.
I
used my memory of temple dancing that I learned when I was 18. This
involved crossover steps and served as a link from one sign to the next.
Then the idea of the Turn came to mind. The Turn, as practiced by Whirling
Dervishes, comes from the Sufi tradition and is used to open up the Heart
Centre . . . it is called ''Sema''.
I
learned that the Turn to the right sends energy from spirit to matter for
experience, which corresponds with Aries to Virgo. The turn to the left
sends conscious energy back to spirit, and corresponds with Scorpio to
Pisces. Libra doesn't turn because its purpose is to find the equilibrium
between the two directions of involution and evolution / matter and
spirit.
For
the expression of each sign I used the significance that was given to us
by KH in the Red Letters, along with added information I found in Esoteric
Astrology, and did what intuitively came to mind.
Footnote: When I first started this
project I didn't know what to expect. I didn't know how I would be guided
on this. I have since come to
understand that the thoughts come across as an idea, as my questions are
put forth. ''Ask and you shall receive.'' Discernment is essential as to
the quality of energy and thought coming through.
