About
Megan: Before signing on to study with the D.K. Foundation, Megan did
her own research through books (Liz Greene, March & McEvers, Pottenger/Dobyns,
Rudhyar, Gail Fairfield, Stephen Arroyo). All of which she found very
insightful and to which she still refers.
Wanting to study with CPA (Centre for Psychological Astrology), she
discovered they did not have a correspondence course and so searched the
web and found there were over 4000 sites to choose from! She
narrowed it down to esoteric astrology which
is how she finds herself with us.

Megan
lives in California, USA and teaches dance and gymnastics to
children.

As well
as her astrological studies she is taking a natural healing course
and has a course in iridology lined up for the summer or 2003. She
considers that all these branches of study complement each other and
expects to take her astrological knowledge into the field of healing
eventually.

About
the Series Are you making the
Correct Statement
This
series is based upon the following assumptions:
1.)
The Sun is a star and not a planet. It is the representative of a higher
order than the planets and in the horoscope should be understood to stand
for the Egoic plane, through
which the first aspect of the soul expresses itself.
The
Sun represents our identity or who we understand ourself to be.
Developing that identity is the prime requirement of the lifetime.
This means expressing the qualities of the sign and being active in the
area of life in which the Sun is found and consciously linking in those
areas of life indicated by the house that the Sun rules accidentally.
The
Sun is the natural ruler of House 5 and so its
expression in a horoscope will always imply awareness of individuality and
creative capacity, qualities that traditionally the father encourages.
For
this reason, aspects to the Sun describe the experiences with the father
around the issue of developing and expressing identity.
2.)
The Moon is a satellite of the Earth and the relationship between the two
is one of mutual dependency as, energetically, it is fed by all that dies
on Earth and, in turn, regulates organic life on Earth through which life
takes form.
In
a horoscope, the Moon
represents the past - past forms, past identities, past experiences - that
are recorded in our psyche and expressed through our emotional
natures.
The
Moon also represents the mother, the function of whom is to preserve
continuity, and the home that is the place of shelter for the form.
For
this reason, aspects to the Moon describe the experiences with the mother
around the issue of receiving nurturing.
The
Moon is the natural ruler of House 4 and so its
expression in a horoscope will always imply the conditioning effect of the
past from the family, the culture of birth, racial heritage.
3)
Our Sun position describes our true identity.

Sun in Taurus
With
the Sun in Taurus a person is developing the strength and determination to
persevere slowly but surely to build a foundation of values based on
a perception of worth that is less materialistic and more spiritually
informed. The individual tends
to yield to the inertia of comfort and possessiveness until there is an
unsettling loss of income and/or possessions and recognition of the value
of the treasures of the inner life, which lie below the surface.
Sun in the Second House
The
second house is the House of Taurus and relates to the process of finding
one's personal values.
Statement of the Second House Sun:
I
entered this Life to discover the value and importance of all that I come
to possess and use (my body with physical, emotional and mental
attributes, my talents and skills, my friends and associates, money and
personal possessions). I use my senses of touch, sight, sound, taste,
scent and pain to determine what I like and want, and what I don't like
and want. I have to decide what things I want and how I acquire, manage
and use them. I am learning to survive in this world a self-reliant
individual. I am determining what are my assets and deficits and how to
make my assets grow and be useful. My goal is to understand the need for
acquiring and managing money and possessions, as well as the need for
appropriate circulation, distribution and conservation of resources and to
be determined, steadfast and consistent in my course of action toward a
specific plan.
Moon in Taurus
With
the moon in Taurus an individual is instinctively slow but determined,
conservative, cautious, sensual, patient, skillful, reliable; reacting in
a stubborn, possessive, stingy, self-indulgent manner when insecure or
stressed. The mother would be reliable, affectionate, expose you to
beautiful surroundings and offer all the comfort of home, but at times may
be unyielding to your real needs and be over-protective.
Moon in the Second House
An
individual with the Moon in the second house has a memory of establishing
and building a secure foundation through the accumulation of wealth and
possessions. The mother encourages the individual to develop practical
skills
Statement of the Second House Moon:
I
remember feeling secure with material wealth and comfort and being
determined to attain my goals by a slow but sure process. I want to be
surrounded by warm, beautiful, and sensual people and things. I like to
hold on to things and tend to be possessive of the things or people I
love. I feel secure with familiar surroundings and sticking to the status
quo.
