The
Ark Fund was set up in 2005 to support the publication and distribution of the Red Letters and the establishment of Koruna, our associated project in Lapland.
Rather than donating money, people are invited to buy ‘shares’ in the Ark at £12 per share. (Euro14/USD23/CD28/AuD29)
We prefer this kind of scheme to that of a donations system because we consider that from the point of view of those providing the funds it is more accountable, and because this scheme sets the ball rolling on the kind of group projects which are going to underwrite survival.
The purchase of a single Ark Fund share is adequate to secure membership to the Ark Scheme and to gain access to the Safe Locations Report and the members area of this website but, of course, we appreciate it if people buy a number of shares and help us with the costs of maintaining the DKF domain and those connected to the Koruna project
Convertible shares are issued for every 12 shares bought and these shares may be off –set against the cost of events which we will be running in Lapland from 2009 onwards.
