These Bush Flower Essences are offered following
the DK Foundations article on
‘ The Ten Commandments on Everyday Living: 5’
Be honest in deed and truthful in word – avoid exaggeration and
compromising the truth for the sake of a good line.

People hide truths or tell lies for all sorts of reasons, some to hide feelings of inadequacy and others maybe not to hurt their dear ones. In either case, one is not being truthful to self.

We expend an awful amount of time and energy trying to keep track of what we have said or trying to imagine what the other person might feel and therefore trying to soften or bend the truth so it may not seem so harsh to them.

We forget or are unable to see that in this instance we put our own ‘values’ on to the other person. The other person may not be sensitive to the same issues that we are, and most of the time it is just a perceived sensitivity and we project it onto others. By keeping others from the truth, we may be keeping the other person from learning a valuable lesson. Maybe subconsciously they have chosen to be around you to learn something from you.

Tall Mulla Mulla – (Ptilotus Exaltus)

This plant grows between 80-150cm tall and the leaves are edible and used in salads. The flowers bloom early spring and summer. This essence is especially good for someone who yields easily with the prevailing wind, like these silky flowers with their soft appearance do in the desert.

Someone who finds it difficult to maintain their ‘own’. They will go to any length to keep the peace even if it means agreeing to something they don’t believe. They prefer to please others and say what they want to hear, rather than their own truth. Harmony for them is more important than anything. They hate confrontations and sometimes this can create the feeling that they prefer to be alone and away from people (maybe also as this takes up so much of their energy!) But this means they actually shield themselves from learning valuable lessons.
Illawarra Flame Tree – (Brachychiton Acerfolius)

This spectacular tree flowers in spring and can grow as tall as 30mtrs.
This Bush Flower Essence is for people who suffer from a great sense of rejection or who feel left out easily. They are deeply hurt by this sometimes imaginary feeling and hear ‘No one loves me’ in their head. Therefore they will often go out of their way to please people in order to avoid possible rejection, but end up doing things that they didn’t want to do or say things they didn’t want to say.

Self-denial is a key term here. Self-denial can lead to a weakened immune system. The Essence is also for self-rejection.

Self-approval, self reliance, confidence, inner strength are the positive keywords for this essence.
